History of Russia through the eyes of Moslem of the XIX century

The article concerns the problem of perception of Russia by Iranian Moslems as a neighbor and a major source of European influence in Persia, devoted to “Russian” section of World History “Rouzat as Safa” (“Garden of Purity”) in ten volumes in Persian, which was written during XV–XIX centuries by various Moslem historiographies. “Russian History” described by a Moslem is important for study the image of Russia, which the court historians cultivated among Iranians, and is a unique monument of historical psychology and mentality of the Moslem educated elite in the XIX century.
