Phone communication history in the Republic of Tatarstan in 1941-1945

For the first time the article describes the history of telephone communication in Tatarstan during the Second World War ( 1941-1945) on the basis of archive and literary data. The importance of that type of communication during the war when it becomes not only the important technical means of development and administration, but also a means of social communication of people was shown. The present investigation helped to reveal a complicated picture of phone communication in one of the most important, crucial moments in the history of the country when Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic became an important home front of the country in connection with that a demand in phone communication increased.
