The article considers the historical and cultural continuity and ethnogenetic parallels of religious and ethnocultural paradigms of the Mongolian people in the context of not only adaptation of Buddhist theories and the practices, but also of their historical contacts in the adjacent territories. The author touches some issues of evolution of language of culture of the Mongolian people in the vector of their environment and interference. Special attention is paid to the historical conditionality of the change of the vertical writing on which the Buddhist texts were mainly translated. Cyrillic, to the author' mind, changed the cultural and mental paradigms of the Mongolians.
