Historiography of the culture northern West Siberia in the XVIII-early XX centuries from the point of regionology

This article from the perspective of criminology considered historiography culture of the peoples of the north of Western Siberia. This scientific direction allows us to characterize the set of cultures in this territory as a historical and cultural area, having common features in the material and practical activities in the artistic practice, the mentality, the outlook of the various ethnic groups, peoples. The author reveals the characteristics that allow to culture of the region as an independent historical and cultural area. The analysis is performed by the region's history of research undertaken by scientists and ethnographers during the eighteenth and early twentieth centuries.
