Historyology of N. A. Morozov in scientific historical context in the early XX century

The article outlines a conceptual and methodological situation in historical science (late XIX - early XX century). It identifies positivist grounds of N. A. Morozov's project for studying the history of science. It also reveals reasons for doctrinal and methodological rejection of N. A. Morozov's historiology by some of his contemporaries.
