Historiosophic issues in A.S. Khomyakov's poetry

The subject of the research in this paper is the historiosophic issues in A.S. Khomyakov's poetry. The methodological basis of the research is general philosophical methods, as well as methods of cultural analysis. As a result of the conducted study of Khomyakov's poetic creativity the author came to the conclusion that the views of the philosopher are based on the idea of salvation by the grace of God, which is fundamental for the Russian historiosophy. Russia is seen by A.S. Khomyakov as a subject of the cultural-historical process, with a special purpose in history. The ontological basis of Russian culture, according to the thinker, are Orthodox values. Khomyakov's system of historiosophic views is manifested in his poetic work as an affirmation of Russia's God-chosenness, messianism of Russian culture, the idea of unity of Slavic peoples on the basis of common faith, spirituality, as well as in his comprehension of the dichotomy West - Russia.
