Breeding work on the creation of varieties shallots for the conditions of the non-chernozem zone and the north-west of the Russian Federation

The article presents the results of selection work on shallots in various breeding nurseries. The work was carried out in the conditions of the Moscow region. Out of 80 samples of the collection nursery, 8 promising samples were selected by the clone selection method. Sample No. 39 was selected from these numbers, which surpassed the standard in its indicators. In 2018, this sample was transferred to the GSI and in 2020 it was zoned as a Dacha Sonata variety.
