On the historical experience of operations of Soviet troops in Afghanistan

The author summarizes the problem of the actions of the Soviet armed forces in the local war in Afghanistan. He analyzes the actions of troops, the ratio of forces and resources of warring parties, the methods and ways of action of the parties in various conditions, and informational and psychological aspects of military confrontation.
