The subject of the study is the Kursk period of life's (1818-1823) of count Mich.Y. Vielgorsky in the estate of Fateevka (Luisino) Dmitriyevsky district, Kursk province, which was the beginning of his active long-term composer and musical enlightenment. Based on the archival materials of the manuscripts Department of the National Russian library, the author introduces new facts about the musical and cultural life in the Kursk noble estates of the count Mich. Y. Vielgorsky and prince Iv.Iv. Baryatinsky.
