From history of Zakamensk’s Buryats traditional treatment

The article notes the originality of traditional medicine in the mountains Zakamensk region (Republic of Buryat) at the beginning of the XIX century. It existed and evolved throughout mankind history. Improving and enriching its traditions were passed on from generation to generation. The development of traditional medicine came according to the climatic characteristics, such as the collection of medicinal plants at certain times of the year, seasonally harvesting of animals organs or their metabolic products for medical purposes, taking into account their age, etc. And it has absorbed essentian fund of knowledge and practice (treatment of vegetable, animal and mineral origin, psychological impact, hygiene skills). Traditional medicine as an integral part of the culture of the Zakamensk’s Buryats contributed to the preservation of public health. The thematic justification of traditional medicine determine not only theoretical but also practical value because it enables the use of good practice in the prevention and treatment of diseases in modern medicine. Modern scientific medicine is practiced on a wide scale valuable experience of traditional medicine, which accumulation occurred through the cognition of the environmental.
