On experience of indexing documents in food industry

The problems that occur in indexing food industry documents are considered. Commonly used terminology related to “food products”, including the concepts incorporated into the subdivisions of the Branch List of Classification Headings for indexing are given. Some emendations of the document indexing arrangement in human nutrition are proposed. The obtained results are based on the experience of scientific processing of food industry documents for many years.
