From the Soviet history of social infrastructure development of machine-building enterprises in the second half of the 1960s - 1970s (on example of the machine-tool plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze)

The article is devoted to such an actual today issue as the study of mechanisms of social policy implementation in the engineering (machine-building) enterprises in the 1960s - 1970s. On the example of the Soviet machine tool industry leader - the Moscow machine-tool plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze - the paper analyzes the most important aspects of the social programmes implementation in the areas of housing, organization of departmental supplies, medical care and recreation for workers. The historical experience of Soviet enterprises according to the decision of social development problems of their teams are in demand now, because under the new economic conditions, certain social programs continue to be relevant, acquiring at the same time social content different from the earlier paternalistic approaches. In order to obtain an adequate picture of the studied period realities, the research was carried out on the basis of historical-genetic, historical-typological and historical and systematic methods. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the introduction into scientific circulation previously unexplored archival materials of the Central state archive of Moscow (TSAGM) on the history of one of the most famous Soviet machine building plants social development. It is noted that, despite significant achievements in the development of social infrastructure of machine-tool plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze, due to both logistical and managerial potential of the enterprise and its unique position in the engineering industry, the ideological orientation of the social standards leveling in terms of socio-political realities of the time has set the limit to the efficiency of social promotion measures for production staff.
