The article is devoted to the history of creation of I. S Shmelev`s tale «Inexhaustible Cup». The article analyzes the draft handwritten of the tale «Inexhaustible Cup». During the research it was revealed 7 editions of the tale. Analyzing the editions allowed to restore the evolution of the author’s intention, ideas, themes, conflict, images of the main characters.
