Variability of peanut samples of VNIIMK's breeding in the conditions of the Astrakhan region

We studied variability of the traits of the yield structure in seven peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) varieties and lines from the VIR’s collection developed at the AllUnion Research Institute of Oil Crops. The work was carried out on the basis of the Astrakhan Research Institute of Arid Agriculture in 2015-2017. Two-factor analysis of variance showed the samples were differed significantly by 1000 seeds weight, the years of research -by early maturity and seed yield. The trait ‘1000 seeds weight’ was least affected by the growing conditions among all studied triats, and the early maturity and seeds yield varied considerably under temperature and humidity changes. The greatest range of variability in the samples over the years was observed for early maturity.
