Wide variability of soybean varieties for the content of α-, β-, γ- and δ-tocopherols in seeds and the signifi-cant influence of weather conditions while growing on these traits was determined. According to the average two-year evaluations, the α-tocopherol content in different varieties varied in the range 6,6-27,1 % adjunct to the sum of tocopherols, β-tocopherol content – 0.5-4.5 %, γ-tocopherol content – 50.8-73.2 % and δ-tocopherol content – 12.7-26.4 %. Varieties with stable tocopherol content in contrasting weather conditions of cultivation were identified. The promising initial material for soybean breeding with the content of different tocopherol forms was determined.
