The English language began to spread around the world from the XVII century. This is due to a number of important factors. These include the power of the British Empire, the Industrial Revolution that first took place in England, and America's dominance in the world. As a result, over the past fifty years, English has become the official language of international and multinational companies and industries, and most importantly, the language of the Internet, which has made it a global language. In the article, the authors analyze the changes that have occurred in the English language under the influence of the Internet.
