This article represents the studies results of adhesive process features in rats and rabbits at modeling asep- tic inflammation in the abdominal cavity with an assessment of pathogenetic significance of changes in the inter- cellular matrix of connective tissue: collagen (its marker is hydroxyproline) and hyaluronic acid and the effect of a calcium channel blocker (CCB) verapamil on fibroblastic synthesis of these substances. The study of the fea- tures of the adhesions formation discovered the identity of their macro- and microscopic characteristics, localiza- tion during modeling of haemoperitoneum in rats and rabbits. There was revealed an increase of the amount of hyaluronic acid and hydroxyproline in the entire organism and in cell culture during the formation of adhesions. There was discovered expressed CCB modulating effect of verapamil on the processes of adhesion and its regu- latory effect on the fibroblasts functional activity, the rate of synthesis of hydroxyproline and hyaluronic acid in vivo and in vitro.
