The purpose of research was to study the physiological and biochemical processes of digestion in the rumen of dairy cows when using a complex of biologically active substances in their diet, which includes the enzyme-probiotic preparation Cellobacterin +, the mineral shungite, which is a powerful antioxidant and adsorbent for xenobiotics, and a lipotropic preparation hepatoprotective action in the form of choline «protected» from the action of rumen microflora and flax cake. An experiment was conducted on 2 groups of cows of black-motley breed (n = 8). The composition of the diet of the cows of the experimental group 20 days before calving and within 60 days after included 200 g of complex additives. At the end of the experiment, animals from each group were sampled of ruminal contents using an esophageal probe 3 hours after feeding and the pH, total amount of volatile fatty acids and their molar ratio, ammonia nitrogen concentration, amylolytic activity were determined. The use of a complex feed additive in the nutrition of cows contributed to the enhancement of microbial and enzymatic processes in the rumen, which was manifested in an increase in the formation of microbial mass by 19.4 %, volatile fatty acids by 3 %, amylolytic activity of scar fluid, and a decrease in the concentration of ammonia nitrogen by 26.9 % (P function show_eabstract() { $('#eabstract1').hide(); $('#eabstract2').show(); $('#eabstract_expand').hide(); }
