Changes in gastric and duodenal mucosa during adjuvant and neoadjuvant treatments with taxanes and doxorubicin in patients with breast cancer

The retrospective multicentric and case-control study on the model of neoadjuvant and adjuvant polychemotherapies of breast cancer was carried out. According to esophagogastroduodenoscopy findings, changes in the mucosa of the gastroduodenal region were analyzed. The frequency of inflammatory and destructive changes in the upper gastrointestional tract was found to be rather high and increase over time, therefor, adequate follow-up seemed to be necessary
