Changes in the ground cover structure in bilberry pine stands of different age and stocking density

Changes in the species composition and structure of the ground cover in bilberry pine stands of varying age and stocking density are considered. The Cole's index was employed to build correlation groups of the species constituting the ground cover; the groups were analysed. We show that the structure of the tree stand largely controls the relationships between species in the ground cover.
