Changes in social and professional structure of the Chukchee in XX century

In the article basing on the study of research literature, statistic and field data the author shows the changes in the social and professional sphere of the Chukchee in the 20th century. The particular attention is paid to the employment level of the population in traditional land use which is crucial for preserving cultures indigenous people.
