The purpose of the study was to analyze changes in veterinary legislation regarding the diagnosis, prevention and elimination of b. Aujeszky (in the period 1929-2024). We were given the following tasks: to study the history of the emergence of b. Aujeszky since 1813; epizootic state of the Russian Federation according to b. The object of the research was the Instructions for combating Aujeszky's disease, described in the Veterinary legislation of the Russian Federation, the USSR and the Russian Federation. Retrospective analysis of instructions for combating b. Aujesque of farm animals and fur-bearing animals was carried out for the period from 1929-2024. Conducting research, we came to the conclusion that due to changes in veterinary legislation, it became possible for veterinary specialists to diagnose an infectious disease during life at the height of its clinical manifestation, and not only after the death of animals. Scientific research to improve laboratory tests allows for a more comprehensive approach to the problem of diagnosing infectious diseases and making a more accurate diagnosis to eliminate the infectious disease. In the period from 2008-2013. disadvantaged regions were: Stavropol, Perm Territories; Ivanovo, Saratov region, Republic of Udmurtia, Tatarstan; in 2013, there was an outbreak among domestic pigs in Moscow. When carrying out veterinary and sanitary measures, the territory of the Russian Federation became a safe zone in relation to b. Aujeszky since 2014.
