Evaluation of poverty and poverty alleviation welfare in Russian Federation

The aim of this article is to determine the correlation between methods of poverty evaluation and types of welfare to prevent it, as well as the analysis of poverty statistics. We performed a qualitative analysis of poverty factors, ways of poverty reduction and new scientific approaches to fight poverty, including randomized controlled trials in economics. We used methods of comparison and generalization, as well as content analysis and statistical methods. The results of the qualities analysis of poverty in Russian Federation showed that the chosen method of evaluation determines the possible ways to reduce poverty and influences the decision-making in this field. Based on the results of this study, we were able to assess the achievements in battling against absolute poverty, which is associated with the number of dependents in a family. This study justifies the need for a wide application of relative poverty and deprivation approaches in both science and practice, emphasizing the importance of identifying socially marginalized groups that require inclusivity. The conclusion of the article presents several approaches to further address poverty issues in Russian Federation.
