Wear-resistance properties of fluoride compositions caused by the dispersion of lead powders

The research has revealed the main parameters of influence produced by the dispersion of lead powders on the wear-resistance properties of fluoride compositions. It has been discovered that during the modification of polytetraflourinethilene by lead powder with the level of dispersion more than 45-55 mm under certain regimes of friction one can observe the process of covering formation from metallic lead which leads to the considerable growth of the friction and the disastrous wearing of composition metal. It has been shown that during the friction of fluoride composition materials modified with high-dispersion lead powder, the zone of friction undergoes the formation of polymer film of transfer, containing the phase of lead fluoride with fluorite structure.
