Development of technical progress proves need of flexibility of the criminal procedure law allowing to adapt quickly modern technical achievements for effective use in fight against crime. In this article the main reasons of deception of preliminary investigation bodies by persons involved in criminal proceedings for the defence are outlined. Some tactics of exposing of falsehood in order to obtain confession during the investigation are considered.
