Studying the phenomenon of emotional burnout in research by domestic and foreign authors

The article provides an overview of the current phenomenon of emotional burnout in research by domestic and foreign authors. The topic of studying emotional burnout among nurses remains relevant and in demand. Daily contact of nursing staff with a large number of patients and their relatives, provision of, in addition to qualified medical care, psychological support, a sense of responsibility for their activities lead to the formation of a defensive reaction on the part of medical workers to a long-term stressful situation in the environment. All this certainly leads to the “emotional burnout” syndrome. The second important point in the professional activity of a paramedical worker is the relationship with the management of a medical organization. Well-built relationships on the part of nursing service leaders can significantly reduce the risk of emotional burnout in a professional environment.
