Study of clinical and functional characteristics and prevalence of chronic non-specific lung diseases in young people

Bronchial asthma is still a pressing health problem worldwide. Over the past 10-15 years, the incidence of asthma among the Russian population has more than tripled, but still remains the lowest in Western Europe. According to the Research Institute of Pulmonology of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Epidemiological screening of patients with mild bronchial asthma (78.6%), moderate and severe forms (90.2%) was registered in medical institutions. International projects and national programs implemented in the world and in Russia at the end of the 20th century to combat bronchial asthma can somewhat improve the situation, but determining the true prevalence of bronchial asthma remains a difficult epidemiological task.
