Research of the mechanism of cross-cultural communication in the framework of modern cultural studies

In the process of intercultural communication there is a translation of information from the language of donor culture to the language of recipient culture. The result of the process may be different: from the exact translatability to the absolute untranslatability. It depends on the similarity or difference in the mentality and value systems of cultures participating in the cross-cultural communication. The research of the mechanism of cross-cultural communication in the framework of the modern cultural studies has revealed new aspects of the study of intercultural communication and dialogue of cultures.
