The study of students’ motivation when choosing elective disciplines in a medical university

The motives for the choice of elective disciplines by students of 2-6 courses of the pediatric and medical faculties of the medical academy are considered. The method of anonymous questioning revealed the main motives for determining the discipline of students’ choice in their learning path. It is shown that students make a conscious choice based on their interests in their future profession. The disciplines of choice offered by the Academy are of interest to students. Information obtained in elective disciplines is perceived as important, necessary for the future doctor.
