Aim: to analyze body composition values in male 1st year university students and 11th grade students majoring in physics and mathematics and in liberal arts. We examined the 11th grade students and 1st year university students based on the data obtained with body composition analyzer Tanita. The body composition analysis showed that in comparison with the high school students the university students had higher values of 7 parameters (amount of water (kg) in total, muscle mass (kg) of the right leg, fat (%) of the left leg, muscle mass (kg) of the left leg, muscle mass (kg) of the right leg, muscle mass (kg) of the left leg, muscle mass (kg) of the torso), and, in their turn, the high school students had higher value of 1 parameter (fat mass (%) in total). The higher values were observed in two 11th forms in comparison with each other: 11-B has higher values of 2 parameters as compared with 11-A (fat mass (%) in total, fat (kg) of the right leg); 11-A has higher value of 1 parameter (muscle mass (kg) of the right leg). The comparative analysis of the body composition in male 11th grade students and 1st year university students revealed that all the values were within normal limits. Muscle mass levels (kg) in the certain select extremities in male 1st year university students are higher, meanwhile the fat mass (%) is lower, which proves their good physical fitness. It is probably associated with the fact that the university students are engaged in phy¬sical education to a greater extent. Male 1st year university students also have higher value of the total water amount (kg) as compared with the 11th grade students which is probably associated with the higher physical activity and nutrition features.
