A survey on the Chinese teaching in middle and primary schools of Novosibirsk, Russia

By the investigation of Chinese run in the six middle and primary schools of Novosibirsk, Russia, including text books, class hours, numbers of students, teachers, etc., this paper explores two types of classes of Chinese teaching in Russian middle and primary schools: the community one and full time one, and raises the necessary questions about textbooks, teachers, teaching effects, teaching concepts and teaching methods. There exist a lot of cultural differences between China and Russia, both the Chinese teachers and the Russian teachers have different understandings of the teaching methods for school students and even for children. This paper assumes that a teaching program and Chinese textbooks fit for middle and primary schools are to be written, referring to the criteria for the Youth Chinese Test.
