The study of psychological features of the personality of women of mature age prone to being overweight

The article deals with the results of empirical research devoted to the study of psychological characteristics of women of Mature age who are prone to overweight. The sample consisted of 20 women aged 33-48. The study concluded that the characteristic psychological features of overweight women include alexithymia, lack of self-respect and self-acceptance, self-control, dissatisfaction with their appearance, the prevalence of non-adaptive coping strategies such as humility, ignoring, avoiding, aggression, self-incrimination.
