Infection of seeds of oil cruciferous crops by alternaria blight in latent form

Visually healthy seeds of oil cruciferous crops can be the carrier of infectious source of Alternaria blight, being in latent form up to the germination of seeds, that is the reason of thin and poor seedlings. Quantity of affected by disease seedlings of winter and spring rapeseed and spring turnip rape was on the same level in average for six years (9.4-11.5%). Seedlings of white mustard were affected a bit less (6.1%) in comparison with other crops. There were 14.7% of mustard seedlings with necroses; it exceeds the rates of the other crops.
