The study of sociometric status of students with high or low envy levels

The article presents the results of the study of sociometric status in two cadet teams. The inter-team relationships and attitudes to students with high and low levels of envy are measured. The envy is considered as a destructive factor of interpersonal relations in the context of closed institution of barrack type. It is proved that the envy can be determined by situational factors leading to disharmonic interpersonal relations and disassociation, avoidance of social contacts and confident communication within the student team. The scientific relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the author examines in detail the peculiarities of individual envy manifestations by case study of St. Petersburg military higher school students.
