The aim of our study was experimentally study the exchange of iron in the pathogenesis of the atrophic form of sinusitis. We carried out experimental studies, recreating the iron deficiency in animals. Presence of disturbances in the metabolism of iron is essential in the pathogenesis of the atrophic process of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Our experimental study once again confirms the fact that, in the case of an iron-deficient state, dystrophic changes in the upper respiratory tract mucosa occur in the body. Changes occur in the blood picture too
