In the article questions of a lung function condition at chronic obstructive bronchitis in elderly patients in a possible relationship with anthropogenous ecological influence – smoking are considered. In all age groups the mixed disorders of external respiration function (ERF) prevailed, with a predominance of obstructive ones in male, restrictive – in female. Taking into account level 1 in men there was on average a second degree of external respiration function disturbance, while in women – the first one. Substantially less than in men, age dynamics of ventilation disorders in women aged 60-89 years is possibly due to lower prevalence of risk factors among women, in particular, behavioral – smoking.
