The core concept of “life” in V. P. Astafiev’s artistic worldview

The article analyzes the structure of the core field of the units which verbalize the concept “Life ” in the works of the prominent Russian novelist V.P. Astafiev. The article studies possibilities of compatibility of the lexical unit life, which represents the indicated concept in the language, the synonymic row of the key word in order to compare it with words close in meaning and to identify distinctive features of the concept and also individual author’s usage peculiarities of some units.
