I - the artist: the experience of self-identification (based on the work of Alexandra Dugarova)

The article reviews ways of self-presentation of an artist’s ego in modern texts on Buryat artistic culture. On the material of Alexandra Dugarova’s activity the author reveals a trend of widening self-reflection potential in modern art. Still life and landscapes by A. Dugarova show not only the artist’s inner life, but also the real ego of the woman’s personality. The article reviews woman’s view in art on the material of book graphics by Dugarova, her illustrations for Buryat poet Bair Dugarov’s books, where one can see woman’s and also national identity. The artist’s works show that A. Dugarova doesn’t play by mens’ rules, and represent feminine idea, philosophy of woman’s view.
