The phenomenon of consubstantiality in terminology (on the basis of the "welding" terminology)

The article presented examines the phenomenon of consubstantiality in the "welding" terminology from the diachronic point of view. The prototerms’ genesis of the subject area studied and their semantics in the period of their first fixation are considered. The comparison of the meanings of consubstantial terms when used in everyday language and in their specific conceptual field is carried out. The role of word-formation prefixes in the "welding" terminology forming is considered.
