In January 2015 the 15 % decline in international flights in the airspace of the Russian Federation was recorded. It was mostly caused by the unstable economic and political situation in Russia. Despite this fact, the volume of international flights through the airspace of Russian Federation according to the figures of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Air Transport for 2014-2015 is 82.6 %. The problem of the aviation professionals’ language training is a relevant one as the accidents and incidents caused by the insufficient English language proficiency have increased recently. That fact is also proved by the analysis of manuals of aircraft accidents and incidents investigation. Therefore, sufficient language proficiency in working conditions is the main requirement for pilots and air traffic controllers to perform their professional activities. The subject of the article is to model a language job profile diagram of aviation specialists in the area of training 162001 - Aircraft operation and air-traffic management in the context of an aviation school. The author uses the methods of analysis of the regulatory documents of higher education and the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) legal documents regulating aviation safety. The author also uses a modeling method in the context of the present study. As a result, the language job profile diagram of the aviation specialists in the area of training 162001 - Aircraft operation and air-traffic management is modeled and each unit of the present diagram is fully described. The language job profile diagram of aviation specialists in the area of training 162001 - Aircraft operation and air-traffic management was modeled on the basis of the specific nature of their professional activity where competence-based component of language training for aviation specialists was considered for the first time. The implementation of the presented model will allow the lecturers of higher education institutions to improve the effectiveness of language education in non-language institutions of higher education.
