Language peculiarities of hyperbolization in Russian and English publicistic texts

The authors of the present article describe the peculiarities of the hyperbole as a linguistic phenomenon in Russian and English publicistic texts. The aspects touched upon in the article are as follows: the theoretical foundations for interpreting and understanding the hyperbole in Russian and foreign linguistics, the ways and means of hyperbolization, common and peculiar features of its formation and use in the two languages.
