The article is devoted to the problem of stylization according to the theory of secondary text by M.V. Verbickaya. The problem of language stylization is concretized on the material of the secondary text “Dead souls. Volume 2” by Yu. A. Avakyan. It is concluded that language stylization is an artistic technique underlying the “text-continuation” “Dead souls. Volume 2” by Yu. A. Avakyan.
