Linguistic purism in journalism XVIII century

This article discusses the causes of linguistic purism in Russia XVIII. On the pages of periodicals Russian scientists, philosophers and writers could advocate for the conservation of the national language. Systematize the linguistic purism in the periodical press, the description of the changes that occurred in the ethnic and cultural life in Russia under the influence of the nascent journalism purist research activities of Russian thinkers of the XVIII century made it possible to reveal the peculiarities of the Russian language purism in journalism and understand the challenges that are put before society purists.
