Press release as a genre of pr-discourse

The article deals with language features of press releases, published in the Internet. The author considers the redundancy of information and lexical and grammatical closure of a text to be major genre-forming factors that influence the selection and organization of language means. The first factor is realized in the text with a variety of repetitions that can improve an association of the company name and the scope of its activities. The second sign is expressed in similar applied means.
