Impact of modifiable risk factors on efficiency of antihypertensive drugs

Arterial hypertension (AH) has the highest contribution to the deaths from cardiovascular disease (CVD). The objective of the study was to evaluate the role of modifiable factors in the treatment of hypertension and adequacy of treatment regimens of patients. The study involved 43 patients with a diagnosis of hypertension. The modifiable risk factors except alcohol had no effect on the effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs in the current treatment regimen.
