To solve the problem of increasing potato productivity the reproduction of adaptive highly productive potato varieties and the development of new technological and biotechnological methods for its cultivation play the most important role. Under the conditions of chemical intensification of agriculture, global climate change and anthropogenic impacts on agro-landscapes it is promising to develop ecologically safe biotechnologies to increase the yield and quality of potatoes on the basis of activating biological functions and realizing the potential of plant-microbial interactions. Scientific research was carried out in 2017 with the support of the Russian Science Foundation (project No. 17-76-10039). The aim of the research was to study the effectiveness of introduction of rhizosphere bacteria of various taxonomic groups (strains Pseudomonas fluorescens SPB2137, Sphingomonas sp. K1B, Arthrobacter mysorens 7) into agrocenoses of potato of the Gala variety. The introduced rhizosphere bacteria contributed to an increase in the resistance of potato plants to late blight and alternaria from 16 to 100%, and their effectiveness varied depending on the causative agent of the disease. The introduction of growth stimulating rhizosphere bacteria positively influenced the realization of the productivity potential of the variety which depending on the biopreparation, increased by 2.7-8.8%. Such result was associated with the improvement in the consumption of plant nutrients. The use of biopreparations allowed to increase significantly the commercial quality of potatoes while reducing the damage of tubers by phytopathogens and insect pests in by 1.5 to 4.8 times and reducing the non-standard part of tubers (fraction less than 35 mm) in the yield by 1.2-2.4 times. The use of biopreparations was also effective from the economic point of view and allowed to increase increasing the profitability of potato production by 2.3-3.2 times. In this case this variety was the most responsive to the introduction of a promising strain of Sphingomonas sp. K1B.
