Diabetic retinopathy (DR) remains one of the leading causes of reversible and irreversible blindness among the working-age population. According to a systematic review, the global prevalence of DR among patients with diabetes mellitus is 22.27% (95% CI: 19.73-25.03%), and the number of cases may increase from 103.12 million in 2020 to 160.5 million by 2045 [2]. Particularly high rates are observed in Africa (35.9%) and North America with the Caribbean (33.3%). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug Vessel Due F in the preoperative preparation of patients with preproliferative diabetic retinopathy (PPDR) before laser photocoagulation. The study included patients who received Vessel Due F according to three different administration regimens. The data obtained indicate a reduction in the number of laser coagulation sessions and an improvement in the overall condition of patients.
