An actual problem of animal husbandry in recent years is the widespread spread of resistant forms of pathogenic microorganisms after treatment or feeding antibiotics. The widespread use of antibiotics as therapeutic and growth stimulating agents has led to the fact that animal products often contain residual amounts of these additives. One of the effective ways out of this situation is the widespread use of products based on bacteria containing live strains or food components that stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial microflora. The use of additives, including these properties, helps to normalize the physiological and productive status of animals and birds, as well as to obtain environmentally friendly food for the population. The article presents two experiments, during which the efficiency of the prebiotic "Vetelact" on the growth of calves of Black-and-White breed of dairy and colostrum cultivation periods was determined.
