Effectiveness of biohumus usage in sunflower cultivation

For the first time, application effectiveness of ecologically clean fertilizer - biohumus in conditions of insufficient moistening zone at pre-Caucasian calcareous chernozem was studied by the scientists of experimental station Donskaya (VNII of Oil Crops in Rostov region) Combined ploughing-under application of biohumus (4 t/ha) and nitrogenous-phosphorous fertilizers (N 40P 60) increased oilseeds productivity by 0.53-0.59 t/ha. Such yield increase in fertilizing under sunflower is considered very high. Usage of pure biohumus (4 t/ha) by its effectiveness is close to the most optimum dose (N 40P 60) of nitrogenous-phosphorous fertilizers. Biohumus application is also effective in sunflower seeds incrustation.
