Efficiency of application of mineral fertilizers and organic-mineral compost under winter wheat

We studied application of fertilizers and additional organic-mineral compost under winter wheat, methods of compost preparation and storage. In field experiments we studied the following variants: application of mineral fertilizers in a dose N180P125K90 separately and combined with organic-mineral compost in a dose 15 t per ha. Soil of the experimental field is irrigated light gray soil, granulometric texture is middle loamy. We used the cattle mature and phosphoric fertilizer for preparing the organic-mineral compost. The object of the research was winter wheat variety Krasnodar 99. Our results showed application of mineral fertilizers together with the organic-mineral compost in in studying usage rates positively influenced water and physical characteristics of soil. We established positive effect of the applied fertilizers on growth, development and productivity of winter wheat. The average yield of wheat grain in a three-year-field experiment with application of mineral fertilizers was 4.78 t per ha. Combination of mineral fertilizer and organic-mineral compost gave yield increase up to 6.24 t per ha. The increase of the last variant was 1.46 t per ha (30.5%).
